What is Azure DevOps?

3.      - Azure DevOps is developed and managed by Microsoft.

4.      - Azure DevOps formerly known as VSTS - (Visual Studio Team Services).

5.      - Azure DevOps provide set of Integrated features that you can access through your web

           browser & Internet.

Azure & Azure DevOps?

Azure is Cloud Solution which provides lots of services and features to helps your

organization in almost all ways during development of any product by providing multiple

tools and technologies.

Azure DevOps is part of Azure or is feature or service of Azure.

Azure DevOps Services?

There are 5 services of Azure DevOps like -  

Boards: Used to plan your work where you can maintain all your tasks like Bugs, User

Stories, epics and manage their process. Agile Board and Kanban Board etc.

Repos: It’s related to code. It is repository. Which is manage your code through the

branches, GIT.

Pipeline- It is deployment of your code. Contains CI/CD

Test Plan- Testing of your code.

Artifacts: It is a collection of packages which are getting from your repositories. These are

required for deployment.

How to choose Azure DevOps Server?

1.   Lots of companies do not want to use cloud because they do not want to store their data

      on others server. They want to store data on their own server.

2.   Azure DevOps provides 2 types of server configuration.

a)      Cloud

b)      On-Premises.

Relationship of VSTS to Azure DevOps -

Sept 10, 2018 Microsoft renamed VSTS to Azure DevOps services.
